About Beth Kent

Hi!

Welcome to my caving world – I’m excited to have you here! 🙂

My name is Beth Kent, and I’m a caving enthusiast.

I’ve been caving for the past 23 years, and through these years, I have learned so much about caving life and its techniques. I genuinely believe that caving is one of the most fascinating activities out there, and if you haven’t tried it yet, you should!

It all started when I was 15 on a field trip to Wind Cave National Park with my classmates. I remember the feeling when we descended into the cave for the first time; something about being in such a dark, undiscovered place made me feel alive and excited. From then on, I was hooked.

Since that first trip, I’ve been exploring more and more caves around the world. Each time has been an incredible experience, as every single cave is unique, with its own secrets and wonders to uncover.

Every journey underground is different but equally amazing. So far I’ve gone on caving excursions in the USA, Brazil, China, and across Europe. My caving friends call me ‘helmet’ because I always try to get to the lowest point of the caves.

On my blog, I share my knowledge and stories from my trips with fellow cavers, as well as give tips for beginners looking to discover the joys of underground exploration.

Here you will find stories from my expeditions, tips and advice on how to get started with caving, reviews of different caves and gear, as well as fascinating facts about cave formations, geology, and wildlife.

So if you’re looking for some inspiration or just want to explore the underground world safely, look no further than here! Join me as I venture into the unknown, and let’s learn something new together!

I’ll be happy to guide you through the caving world and answer any questions you may have. Thanks for joining me on this journey!

Happy Caving!
